Field Safety

Playing Surface:   Coaches, Trainers and Referees should inspect fields prior to practices and games ensuring they are free from hazards, and making sure fields do not pose a risk of injury.   Areas adjacent to goal lines and touchlines should be clear of obstacles and spectators to avoid collisions. 

Soccer Goal Safety:   Soccer goals pose a significant risk to players if they do not conform to standards and/or are not anchored to prohibit tipping.  Coaches and Trainers should inspect goals prior to games to ensure there are no defects and make sure goals are appropriately secured.   Nets should be free of holes.  Guidelines for movable soccer goal safety can be found online:
